What we collect

When you contact us or request a survey we collect the details you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, property address and information about the services you need. If you become a customer we also hold records of your system, installation and servicing history.

Why we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide quotations, deliver and maintain your systems, meet our accreditation and legal obligations, and keep in touch about servicing that is due. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are contract, legitimate interests and legal obligation.

CCTV & alarm data

Where we install or monitor systems, footage and alarm data belong to you as the system owner. Monitoring providers process signal data solely to deliver the monitoring service.

Who we share it with

We share information only where needed to deliver our services — for example with alarm receiving centres for monitored systems, or with accreditation bodies during audits. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to two years. Customer and certification records are kept for as long as we support your system and as required by our accreditations and law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, email info@gdcfiresec.com.
